As I sit here on this rainy day in Los Angeles, California, I can’t help but wish I could go back to the sunny park where I had the privilege of being the photographer for a very special little princess. Miss Stella Kate, or “Super Stella” as she is known to her Facebook friends, (follow her at: www.facebook.com/superstellakate), is a a very brave and sassy 3 year old girl. On February 17, 2017, Super Stella Kate was diagnosed with Very High Risk Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and was admitted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
Stella loves the color pink and anything sparkly, so of course she was SO excited to be able to twirl and pose in this adorable dress by Dollcake and this stunning floral crown by the very talented Pretty Little Jettie. Heather, the shop owner, makes lots of the beautiful hair pieces that you see in many of my child, maternity and family photos. If you haven’t checked her out yet, you need to! She, and the owner of Alora Safari generously donated a crown and tutu dress for Stella to keep!
We couldn’t stop with just one princess dress now could we? This pink and silver princess dress by Well Dressed Wolf was definitely a favorite too!
As a travel session photographer, I get the chance to be able to meet so many cute new faces all over the world, and Redondo Beach, CA was no exception! I always do a group photo with all of the kiddos who come to see me, and of course our theme for this one was princesses!
*Update: Stella Kate has finished her chemo treatments and is doing very well thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for her. The cancer is in remission, and will hopefully stay that way!
