Los Angeles, California photographer couture sessions at the Eiffel Tower in France
I sat down today and started looking through images I shot during my Paris photo sessions with some adorable little clients, and was filled with longing for adventure. This past year has been a major downer in most departments, but especially when it comes to travel photography sessions. Every year I visit a few cities for some fun on the road shoots, and I have met some of my very favorite people during these trips. After managing to complete 155 sessions in 17 states and three different countries in 2019, I decided that I needed to slow things down for 2020. This year of Covid shutdowns and zero travel was not what I had in mind!
Here in Los Angeles, California things are still pretty bad, so I can’t very well jump on a flight out of the coutnry at the moment. I can however have some fun sharing a handful of my favorite images from that day with you.
Pink tulle dress by Alora Safari, and floral headpiece from Avry Couture Creations
This young lady here was SO mesmerized when she first saw the stunning dress she would be wearing for her Eiffel Tower portrait session. This gown from Anna Triant Couture arrived right before it was time to leave to the airport, and getting it to fit inside my suitcase was quite the trick! Thank goodness for those large plastic shrink wrap bags is all I’m saying! And how cute is that matching star headband custom made by Avry Couture Creations.
There is just something so special about identical twins, and photographing their bond is one of my favorite things. Even though I am a Los Angeles photographer, I have been lucky enough to take pictures of these sweet girls a few times in their home in Illinois too. These colorful dresses from Well Dressed Wolf paired with their coordinating Converse were perfection!
Now this little three year old cutie here was not so sure about my camera and I. She had journeyed on an airplane to this far away country, and then met me for the first time on the morning of the shoot. Although it took her a few minutes to warm up to me, it wasn’t long before she was laughing and twirling away! I’m sure it helped that she had her beautiful Mom there posing for pictures with her.
I am itching to get on the road again when it is safe, but for now I will just be here dreaming of Paris.
